Issa Barte is a Filipina artist, 2021 National Geographic Young Explorer, and the co-founder a youth-led NGO called For the Future in the Philippines. Since launching their Typhoon Fund with organizational partners last 2019, they have since raised and released around USD 390,000 to provide solar lights, water filters, housing, and immediate aid for local climate refugees affected by typhoons all while empowering local communities to help in reforestation.
