Step-by-Step Learning
Every founder starts somewhere. Here's where ours begin.
Reserve seats for your students. We handle everything else.

Students turn a rough idea into a real venture. Something they can actually launch.

They present to real founders, mentors and investors. The kind of room most people wait years to get into.

Problem-solving, communication, working through the messy middle. The capabilities every future needs, picked up by building.
They meet angels, mentors and founders throughout the program. They leave with contacts in industry most adults spend years trying to build.
They take an idea and turn it into a working business, tested on real customers. By the end they've got something real to show for it.
The best teams walk away backed. What starts as a school program becomes a business that outlives it.
They've stood in front of real founders and investors. They stop doubting whether they belong in the room
They leave knowing they can make things happen. A story they carry into every application and interview after.

A day in the life
Students arrive and check in.
An energising kick-off that sets the tone for the day. Facilitators open by sharing the moments that defined their journeys, the risks, the failures, the breakthroughs. From the very first minute, students start seeing themselves differently.
What does it really take to think like an innovator? This session unpacks the mindset behind every great idea, exploring how the world's boldest problem-solvers approach challenges differently, and how every student in the room can too.
Students are thrown headfirst into a challenge that demands creativity, communication and quick thinking. By the end, they've built something together, and discovered what they're capable of when they back themselves and each other.
A chance to recharge and keep the conversation going, connecting with facilitators and swapping ideas with peers from other schools.
Students take everything from the morning and push it further, refining their concepts and stress-testing their thinking. Facilitators move through the room, challenging assumptions and helping teams uncover angles they hadn't considered. It's where students explore how what they've built can create genuine impact in their school or community.
Facilitators bring the day to a close, celebrating what's been built and how far everyone has come. The Top teams have the opportunity to access our 6-week program, to take their idea from today into reality.

Questions we get asked
Find quick answers to the most common questions about our programs, process, and learning experience.
Nope. You don't need an idea to begin, just an open mind. We'll guide you to spot a real problem and shape it into something worth building. You will need a team of three to take part, so grab a couple of friends to get started.
We believe learning should be hands-on, and even fun. Each week has a learning milestone that builds toward your real business, like developing your business plan. You'll submit six checkpoints across the program, each reviewed and graded by our team of assessors, who give you genuine feedback along the way.
We're committed to making FutureHack accessible. We consider needs-based support using measures like a school's ICSEA score and low-income status, so places may be available for students who need them. Get in touch to find out more.
Yes. Every student who successfully completes the program receives an official Certificate of Completion, issued by Future Minds Network and an accredited Australian university. It can also count toward recognition of prior learning, meaning academic credit toward a future degree, depending on your study plan and each university's course rules.
Six weeks, six jumps forward.
Every moment is hands-on and fast-paced, built to show young people what they can create when they're trusted to lead. There's no sitting and listening, just doing, from the first idea to the final pitch.
Teamwork
You'll be placed into a team and meet students you've never worked with before. You'll learn to collaborate under real pressure, play to each other's strengths, and discover what you can build together.
Real-world challenges
You'll take on a genuine problem worth solving, from your own community to the wider world. You'll learn to look past the obvious, spot opportunities others miss, and turn a real issue into the seed of an idea.
Industry mentorship
You'll meet real founders and innovators from your own region, right there in the room. They'll share how ventures actually start, guide you as you shape your idea, and answer the questions you've always wanted to ask.
The pitch
You'll finish by pitching your team's idea to a real audience. You'll learn to shape a clear, compelling story, present with confidence, and get genuine feedback on your very first idea. By the end, you'll have gone from a blank page to a real pitch, in a single day.
Learn Smarter, Grow Faster

Ahnaf and their friends founded 'Bhoroshasthol', a nonprofit organisation aimed at helping the underprivileged in Bangladesh. They have assisted over 30,000 people across 10 districts, providing meals, tube wells, vans, and sewing machines. 'Bhoroshasthol' has made a significant social impact, raising donations and providing aid during COVID-19, floods, and cold winters. Ahnaf's vision shifted from short-term fixes to long-term solutions, and they initiated the idea to establish the 'DRMC Social Service Club' to encourage student participation in community service. Despite facing challenges due to their young age, them and their team members are extremely devoted to their only objective of lessening the amount of suffering in the world.

At just 14 years old, Riyaa Sri Ramanathan founded the Alzheimer's Youth Outreach Campaign (AYOC), a global nonprofit working to transform Alzheimer's education from isolated awareness campaigns into a sustainable component of formal education. Through AYOC, she developed #BringInYouth4ALZ™, the world's first youth-developed Alzheimer's curriculum adopted by a Department of Education body. Rather than creating another awareness initiative, Riyaa built a research-informed educational model that equips schools to teach neuroscience, cognitive health, caregiving literacy, and dementia awareness long before families experience crisis. That shift, from reactive education to preventative education, is why she belongs on the Future Minds Under 35 list.
AYOC was founded after Riyaa watched her grandfather battle Alzheimer's disease and realized that despite dementia affecting millions of families worldwide, most people first learn about the disease only after someone they love is diagnosed. Research has shown that Alzheimer's-related brain changes can begin decades before symptoms appear, yet schools rarely teach students about brain health or cognitive aging. Rather than accepting this educational gap, Riyaa spent nearly two years designing an evidence-informed solution capable of addressing it at scale.
That solution became #BringInYouth4ALZ™, the flagship educational platform of AYOC and the world's first youth-developed Alzheimer's curriculum adopted by a Department of Education body. Developed through a research-to-implementation philosophy, the curriculum combines neuroscience education, dementia literacy, caregiving preparedness, educator resources, structured assessments, AI-supported implementation, multilingual accessibility, and offline deployment into a complete implementation framework that enables schools to deliver high-quality Alzheimer's education regardless of their size, funding, or technological capacity. Rather than offering standalone educational materials, it provides educators with everything needed to sustainably integrate cognitive health literacy into existing learning environments.
Scientific content was informed by population-level data from the National Center for Health Statistics and developed in alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and United Nations Statistics Division frameworks. Educational architecture was strengthened through collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association and refined through guidance from educators, professors, researchers, and contributors affiliated with institutions including Cornell University and the National Institutes of Health. Every component was intentionally designed to move students beyond short-term awareness toward lasting scientific understanding, empathy, caregiving literacy, and civic engagement.
Today, through AYOC, this educational model serves more than 785,000 youth across 450 U.S. regions and 38 countries, with an estimated 4.8 million global reach through educational programming, partnerships, and public engagement.
The campaign's growth has been driven through public-sector collaboration rather than traditional startup funding. Campaign partners and collaborators include the New York State Department of Education, Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Microsoft Entrepreneurship for Positive Impact, BOLD Community, We Make Change, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth, the United Nations Development Programme, the International Science Council, and numerous Alzheimer's, education, and scientific organizations working together to strengthen youth cognitive health education.
AYOC's international recognition reflects an exceptional level of institutional confidence for any initiative, let alone one founded by a teenager. UNESCO officially endorsed #BringInYouth4ALZ™ as a Project of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD 2024–2033), selecting it as one of only 39 initiatives worldwide during its Third Call for projects and the only youth-led project chosen for an official decade-long partnership. Through the Decade, UNESCO recognizes initiatives that leverage scientific knowledge to advance long-term social, economic, and environmental sustainability at scale. Riyaa was also selected among the top 1% of applicants worldwide as the youngest Knowledge Network Partner within the BOLD Community, an international innovation network established by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) that connects and accelerates globally promising solutions aligned with public-sector innovation and economic development priorities. Her selection positioned AYOC alongside internationally recognized founders, researchers, and innovators addressing complex global challenges, further validating that a youth-developed educational system can earn the confidence of governments and leading international institutions.
These partnerships do not, by themselves, prove educational effectiveness. Rather, they demonstrate that experienced educators, policymakers, and international organizations independently recognize both the need for youth-focused Alzheimer's education and the strength of AYOC's approach. That confidence is reflected in external evaluations. The Deputy Director of Generation Unlimited at UNICEF described the initiative as "an incredible and noble program and curriculum advancing youth-led global awareness and social impact," while the U.S. Department of Education recognized it as "a new frontier in education." Together, these endorsements reinforce that the initiative is being recognized not only for its scientific credibility, but also for its potential to strengthen education and public health at a global scale.
Riyaa's leadership has additionally been recognized by the United Nations, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the New York State Senate. AYOC has also been featured twice by Forbes (5 months into product rollout) and was named to Change 100's "World's Top Impact Startups to Watch in 2026," where it was the only youth-led impact startup/program shortlisted. Riyaa was also named a Young Woman of the Year Finalist in the Women Changing the World Awards, selected as one of just 17 finalists from more than 1,500 nominations spanning 97 countries, and the youngest to be picked.

Future of COVID19
At the height of COVID-19, young people across Australia were living through disruption they had no say in shaping. Casual work disappeared overnight, study was interrupted at the worst possible moment, and isolation stretched long enough to leave a mental health toll that outlasted the lockdowns themselves. Meanwhile the recovery was being designed almost entirely by people it would affect least.
How might we build a recovery that reflects what young people actually went through, using solutions they generate themselves?
