Ready to immerse yourself in a world of innovation and entrepreneurship?

 The Newcastle Innovation Summit is a NSW-first platform for Year 9-11 students to learn innovation, explore emerging careers, and create their own social enterprises to build a better city.

 

 

On Day 1, students will learn all about innovation from Newcastle’s most accomplished startups. Keynotes, panels and most importantly an interactive career expo. They will gain career insights from entrepreneurs who have started doughnut companies from scratch, groundbreaking heat-tracking technology and adventure tourism businesses.

 

 

On Day 2, students will embark on a hackathon and build social enterprises on key themes of Future of Cities, Future of Education, Future of Healthcare with opportunities to pitch their ideas to an esteemed panel of judges.

 

Registrations close on 26th July. This event is fully-subsidised and free of charge for all schools in Newcastle.

The venue

The event will be held at University of Newcastle, Callaghan Campus @ Brennan Room. This two-day program will also be an opportunity for students to learn more about campus life and meet inspiring university students and role models.
